On March 5–7, 2025, MIT hosted the Conference on Complex Adaptive Systems (CAS 2025): Transdisciplinary Systems & Solutions for Adaptability. The international event brought together researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders to explore how adaptive, transdisciplinary approaches can address today’s most pressing challenges.
The program featured 6 plenary speakers, 3 panels, 5 workshops, MIT lab tours, an interactive experiment, 54 paper presentations, and a poster session. Workshops and experiments were co-created with experts from around the world, in collaboration with partners including MIT System Design and Management, INCOSE, and IEEE Smart Cities.
CAS 2025 proved to be a dynamic forum for advancing research and practice in adaptability and systems innovation.
